Privacy policy

We collect no data. Claim It has no account, no sign-in, no servers of its own, no advertising, no tracking and no analytics. We never see your receipts.

• Receipts and photos. When you photograph a receipt, choose one from Photos or Files, or type one in, it is saved in the app's private storage on your iPhone. The text on a receipt photo is read on your iPhone by Apple's text-recognition tools. The photo and the text are not uploaded.
• Camera and Photos. Claim It asks for the camera only when you tap "Take a photo", and for a photo only when you pick one. It does not look at the rest of your library.
• Your settings. Your tax rate, job, days worked from home and similar answers are saved on your iPhone so you do not have to enter them again.
• Exports. The PDF and spreadsheet summaries are created on your iPhone. They go nowhere unless you choose to share them.
• Links. Guides link to Revenue's own website (revenue.ie and ros.ie). Those sites are Revenue's, with their own privacy terms. Claim It never asks for your myAccount or ROS login.

Deleting your data. Delete a receipt inside the app, or delete the app, and its data on your iPhone goes with it.

The quiz works out an estimate and then forgets your answers. They are not stored.

If you choose to join the reminder list, we keep your email address, the exact words you agreed to, the time you agreed, and the rough estimate range you saw. We use it only to send the reminders you asked for and do not share it with anyone. We keep it until you delete it or we close the list. You can delete your email yourself at any time on the quiz's privacy page.

The quiz is hosted by Cloudflare, which, like any web host, sees the IP address of your connection. We do not store it.
